Let’s assume Total work is 1 Unit.
A’s working capacity = 1/12 unit per day
B’s working capacity = 1/15 unit per day

    So, A’s + B’s working capacity = 3/20 unit per day

    Remaining unit of work, after A and B worked together = 1 – 3/20*5 = 1/4 unit

Time taken by A to complete the work = 3 days
